This photo is very misleading. The figurine is about the size of a Playmobile figure. The castle is a "sign" that you stick into the cake--stamped or vacu-formed plastic that is about 1 mm thick, like a halloween mask but much thinner. The wand is kind of nice because it sits in a plastic tray, made just like the castle "sign", that sits in the icing, making it fun for your child to remove right away. The irritating thing is that the pictured cake must be 8" x 5"... *maybe* 9" x 6". We had a sheet cake and the pictured scene might have covered 25% of the cake.No educational value was expected, the figure is durable and the wand has a satisfactory durability for what this product is, and the castle is junk. If you're okay with paying this price for this set, just plan your cake decorations based on the size described, not the impact of the picture.
